This is where he was born.

This is where he hunts, rests, and survives.

This is where he has his world, which functioned long before we arrived.

And then, we came.

Not quietly. Not with respect. But with noise, hunger, and that endless desire to have more.

More space.

More control.

More certainty that everything belongs to us.

We cut down forests, fragment the landscape, take away their space, and then we are surprised when they come closer. We call them a problem when they are merely surviving in what we have left them.

This gaze is not a reproach. It is not a plea, either.

It is a silent truth.

That we entered a world that wasn't ours. That we began to tear it to pieces. And that we keep acting as if it were okay.

And yet, it is disappearing.

Not slowly. Not subtly. But exactly the way everything touched by human greed disappears.

🌸 Beauty that Protects

The painting "This is where he was born" is a tribute to the wilderness and the space that belongs to animals just as much as it belongs to us. The leopard in it symbolises peace and a natural place in a landscape that existed long before humans.

From the sale of this artwork, I will donate 10% to the Cape Leopard Trust, which protects leopards and their natural habitat.

🐆 Why the Cape Leopard Trust

The organisation is dedicated to on-the-ground leopard conservation, tracking their movements, and protecting their territory. It works closely with local communities and helps find a balance between people and nature.

🤍 Helping Together

You will receive a donation certificate with the painting. In this way, art also becomes a tangible support for nature.
