One's Own Space

A series of four paintings maps a woman's journey from isolation to inner freedom:

  • Crossroads: A moment of decision and courage to leave the past behind.
  • Direction: Finding one's own path and the right to happiness.
  • Silence: A state of inner safety and calm, where there is no longer a need to defend oneself.
  • Us: A space for deep closeness that does not take away individuality, but expands it.

It is a visual narrative about a woman who stepped out of others' rules to find herself and, ultimately, the path to another.

I. CROSSROADS "A pause on the threshold, where feet are still heavy with the past. Eyes close before the depth of the abyss, while inside, fear battles with desire. The time has not yet come to look outward. First, it is necessary to clarify who a person remains in complete silence. Fear is just a wall that one can learn to tear down."

II. DIRECTION "The moment when light is allowed to touch the face. The eyes open, and the world no longer feels like a threat, but like a promise. This smile is proof that the right to joy belongs to everyone. Allowing oneself happiness requires the greatest courage. Light does not burn. Light sets free."

III. SILENCE "Closing the eyes once again, but this time without the need to hide anything. The need to watch every step and analyze danger disappears. In this place, all questions grow quiet. Without expectations, without defenses. Mere presence. And the awareness that it is alright this way."

IV. US Two different worlds that collided to create one shared world. This painting captures a moment of absolute certainty, a moment when a woman next to a man no longer needs to build any defenses, but can fully be herself. It is about finding a safe haven where individuality is not lost, but on the contrary, develops. A story about a love that does not bind, but gives wings for a shared journey through life. About the decision to grow old side by side, with the knowledge that this is now forever.
